At Central Private School, college planning is a purposeful process designed to help each student identify a path that reflects his or her interests, abilities, and future goals. Through individualized guidance, academic planning, college exploration, and application support, we work closely with students and families as they prepare for life beyond graduation.
Partnership with Career Compass of Louisiana
Central Private is proud to partner with Career Compass of Louisiana, a nonprofit organization that has supported Louisiana students in planning for life after high school since 2006. Career Compass helps students develop realistic postsecondary plans and navigate the steps necessary to pursue college, technical education, career training, or military service.
Through this partnership, Central Private students receive personalized, on-campus assistance with important parts of the college-planning process, including:
- Exploring colleges, majors, and career pathways
- Identifying postsecondary opportunities that match each student’s goals
- Completing college and technical-school applications
- Understanding admission requirements and important deadlines
- Exploring scholarships, financial aid, and college costs
- Completing required forms and other application materials
- Developing a clear and practical plan for life after graduation
Career Compass services are provided to students during the school day at no cost to families.
By combining the personal support of Central Private’s faculty and administration with the specialized expertise of Career Compass, we help ensure that our students do more than simply graduate, but rather that they leave Central Private prepared to take their next step with confidence, purpose, and a well-developed plan.
