Volunteers are an invaluable resource for our teachers, students, and school. Family involvement, whether it be volunteering in the classroom, providing administrative support, or lending special expertise, is essential to the strength of our community and each child’s educational journey.
- 6-8 Grade (8 service Hours Per Year- May count Club Required Service Hours)
- 9-12 Grade (10 service Hours Per Year- Graduation Requirement)
- Service Year is considered May 1 -April 30 of the following year.
- Upper School Students are required to earn at least 10 documented service hours from approved community organizations during each of the freshman through senior years of high school to fulfill graduation requirements. Students who fail to obtain the required 10 hours for the year will be required to complete the hours and will receive a penalty of 3 additional hours for the next year.
- All service hours must be verified and approved by the CP Dean of Students Affairs prior to participating in service.
- Seniors must complete all service hour requirements by April 1 of the senior year. In order to walk in graduation, all service hours must be complete.
- Underclassmen must complete service hours by May 1.
- 6-12 grade students who transfer from other schools will receive a pro-rated service hour requirement.
- All community service forms must be signed out and returned to the Dean of Student Affairs by April 1 (Graduating Seniors) and May 1 (Underclassmen).
- Students must contact and make prior arrangements with the community organization before volunteering.
- CP Students must wear CP t-shirts and appropriate attire when earning volunteer hours.
- Student Expectations outlined in the Student Handbook extend to all service hour volunteer opportunities.
*The maximum hours allotted for each service opportunity is 3 hours.

Elementary
Reading volunteers (library or lower elementary classroom)
Educational events (literacy night, math night, open house, orientation, book fair, etc.)
Classroom volunteers (lower elementary craft days, holiday class parties)
Grandparents Day (provide food & drinks, help set up)
Facilities improvement (improvements around the school)
Field Day (assist with games and setting up/cleaning up)
